The collection comprises twelve unforgettable Sanderson prints.
CECILE ROSE
Interpreted from an early 20th century wallpaper document from the Sanderson archive, a bountiful rose bouquet sits against a bold striped ground. This pattern is printed onto a glazed linen union and comes in three magnificent colours from dramatic ebony and rose, through ivory and silver, to duck egg and rose. It is suitable for curtains and upholstery.
CHELSEA is a Kenneth Truman* classic which has been in the range since 1957. The ultimate rose bouquet, this design is available in six splendid colourways, one original and five brand new; the colour spectrum ranges from documentary chintzy colours of indigo and loganberry, through to more modern, vibrant colours of coral and emerald. Printed on linen union, it is suitable for curtains and severe contract upholstery.
HEDERA
A clambering trail of ivy leaves, Hedera is based on a true Sanderson evergreen wallpaper. Such foliage designs originated in Victorian times with their love of bringing the outside indoors and became popular again in the 20s and 30s. This version is printed in two colourways – green and indigo – and is suitable for both curtains and upholstery.
SAIL AWAY
A whimsical scene of sailing boats gliding across the horizon. The dry brush painterly feel of the 1950s wallpaper, from which the fabric took inspiration, has been replicated with great care. It is printed on linen union in two colourways, a seaside fresh sky blue and a vintage tinted sea green.
SUMMER STRAWBERRIES
These deliciously fresh fruits which epitomise English summertime have been printed to look like the original block print dating from 1963. Printed on cotton, this pattern would make beautiful curtains or blinds for kitchens, conservatories and country cottages.
BEECHGROVE
A forest of bamboos, painted in a loose style and rotary printed for depth of colour. It is available in six contemporary colourways.
CECILE STRIPE is derived from the ground stripe of Cecile Rose, meaning that the two can work in perfect combination in a room. This smart stripe also complements many of the fabrics in the collection and comes in five chalky colourways and one pearlescent.
FLAMINGOS
These striking birds, boldly coloured, make a real statement. The document originates from the Warner archive and this updated version has been printed using the rotary method which gives great depth of colour with a fabulous chalky finish.
SEAGULLS
Inspired by a printed fabric from the archive, flocks of seagulls are painted in three fresh and tranquil colours.
