This video brings us to the world of the manufacturing process -- both mechanical and handcrafted -- and highlights some of the steps that give life to this moire: the preparation phase (préparation), in which two clothes are joined; the interference pattern (moirage), made by the passage of the joined fabrics under a cylinder; the fixing of the pattern (calandrage); the separation of the clothes (dédoublage) and the finishing phase that soften the moire (dérompage).
